Although you may not know it, Tyra Banks has struggled with her weight for years. The world of modeling she came from has a very intolerant attitude toward healthy body shapes, so once she got out of that and into the talk show and reality show world, she allowed herself to eat. She weighed 170 this past December, and has renewed her commitment to taking care of herself physically with a new diet plan. Speaking to Extra Magazine, she reveals how she lost 30 pounds in 5 months with diet and exercise.
She eats mostly soups that she cooks herself from recipies found in regular cookbooks. Soups, usually, when not cream based, have far less calories and are more filling than a regular meal. Vegetables and chicken stock can be great weight loss diet helpers. She no longer eats out at IHOP, a favorite restaurant, or indulges in junk food like burgers or pizzas. This is similar to the plan used by Cameron Diaz to lose weight.
She also does cardio workouts on treadmills and ellipical trainers, like Jessica Alba. It would be great if we all could have access to personal trainers and chefs but we can produce very similar results just by following what they do. So the answer is to eat more soup instead of fatty burgers and pizza, and workout as much as you can, and you too can lose 4 dress sizes in 5 months. Celebrity diet plans may include lots of professional help, but we can still find out what they are doing and then just copy that approach.

The body’s metabolism is highest earlier in the day, so this is a great time to be supplying your muscles with energy in the form of glycogen (carbohydrates), while also ensuring that many of the carbohydrates you consume will be burned for fuel, rather than deposited as fat stores. Many families tend to have the biggest meal of the day in the evening, ironically at the time when the body is least in need of energy and the metabolism is lowest.
