So, in an attempt to lose the extra 10-15 lbs. that have shown up since turning 40+ – I, BusyMOM (aka Sara Gray) have decided to marry my skills at blogging with my desire to lose the weight. Welcome to my journey and I hope that ultimately, it helps you too, Dear Reader!

I don’t like to exercise that much.

Wait.

Let me backtrack…. I DO like to exercise once I’ve gotten over the hump of NOT exercising for a long period of time. And as of this writing today (4/20/09) I am in that place of not liking exercise. Why? Because I got out of the habit last September and have had a helluva time getting back into it. I am a graphic designer by trade and an Internet entreprenuer by passion – therefore, I sit at my computer for hours at a time and feel as though my legs are now permanently molded to my chair.

And I have that oh-so-lovely butt spread starting to happen. And on top of that attractive image, let me pile on that my middle has mysteriously expanded so that it rears its ugly little flab over the tops of my pants … I affectionately call it my muffin top.

But the affection is starting to turn to exasperation. It’s time to tighten it up, feel good about myself again, get some movement back into my life, buy some clothes that aren’t geared toward covering up and enjoy living a fuller life again that isn’t centered on being a slave to my computer.

Those are my desires. There. I’ve said it, and I’ve committed it to paper.
